paris / Mixed Educational Facility

The centre is in the 19th arrondissement of Paris and takes in children and adolescents from 6-21 years, under a variety of boarding conditions. These young people all have family problems and need comprehensive support.

The centre has reopened in January 2014 after a total renovation.

All the children are schooled in accordance with the State Education System. There is also a Natural Environment Personalised Support Service which works with the young adults.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The uniqueness and importance of the Paris centre lies in three elements :
• Due to its favourable geographical location, the centre can support young people from a very wide range of backgrounds. This aspect is all the more beneficial because it means the support given has to be carefully adapted to different cultures, with appropriate pedagogical approaches and rhythms of work.
• An important partnership, where the social network puts the relationship between the young person and their family at the heart of the endeavour.
• Psychological and emotional dimensions are taken into account in individual projects, by way of a personalised approach.
The various different structures correspond to different stages in the path to becoming a responsible and independent adult.
They are used according to the particular development of each person and their social stage (schooling, under 18, over 18 etc). But the structures should not be seen as an established linear path for all, but as facilities available to organise a suitable personalised path for each young person.
Admissions are possible at every level of the system. Nevertheless, admission requests oriented towards a specific structure will be studied to ensure they are appropriate.
